Commando

Commando 1985

Directed by Mark l. Lester

Written by Steven E. de Souza, Joseph Loeb III and Matthew Weisman.

The story of this film is more than it presents itself. It's a satire with the 80's macho movies themselves! They have earned the nickname known for their violence and strength. Popularized by films like Rambo and his clones.

So they put together 10 million dollars, 54 stunts, insane writers and a star who did not even know how to act right.

Yes, Arnold Schwaznegger did not even know how to act right when he starred in the movie Conan - The Barbarian in 1982! But Arnold Schwarzenegger was so charismatic that he practically took the whole film on his back even in the most absurd moments!

He could convince the audience by laughing alongside actress-girl Alyssa Milano as well as shooting, fighting and killing bad guys in general!

The story of the film is that Arnold Schwarzenegger is Colonel John Matrix, an elite soldier Commando thick bark and hard bone who has kidnapped daughter and is blackmailed to kill a president and friend who helped put him in power. However, he decides to rescue his own daughter and kill all the bad guys that lie ahead.

The beginning: The macho behavior of being a good father!

To defend my point of view as a man, white, heterosexual, macho and reactionary; I will draw attention to the beginning of the film that shows John Matrix with his daughter Jenny (Alyssa Milano).

For the scene shows exactly a genuinely macho behavior where John Matrix shows up as a good father! You see, feminists try anyway to condemn all the male behavior of a real male to the point that they can not even conceive that this behavior is also very positive!

Being a good father is also machismo! And who defines this is us, the men!

Feminists can not understand that a male's behavior is also loving, playful, good-natured, respectful and protective! A real male also educates, teaches to respect other people and creates his children for the world. He supports, cares, cooks, and arranges the house, yes! For none of this is really degrading, but rather legitimate demonstrations of affection, maturity and respect!

Soon after this quiet start of the film where only two people have died so far, a military helicopter pays a visit to John Matrix to warn that his life is in danger. His good friend General Kirby who trained him comes to tell the story of the movie. And so let John Matrix warn of danger.

Well, soon after that we have already at the beginning of the film the apex of manhood!

As soon as General Kirby left the scene and John is attacked. Culminating the act almost unnoticed in the eyes of the great public: John Matrix grabbed his daughter Jenny, took her inside and protected her with her own body! What seems like a passing, unimportant scene, right?

Of course not! The act of a man taking the risk to protect someone he loves is precisely the macho behavior that made mankind survive the cave era! If we have this behavior today is why millions of years ago this was the apex of manhood! With cavemen facing prehistoric predators with rocks and sticks to save the lives of the people they loved. Since the dawn of mankind men have sacrificed themselves for the good of women and children and that is machismo!

If you are a man and can do it for the people you love, you are a true example of masculinity. And if you who are a woman, my reader and able to do the same, I have a beautiful and even romantic answer for you, because it is thanks to attitudes like yours that people were inspired to create the angels ...

Just because of these scenes that show him as both a loving father and a tireless warrior, they put him alongside other great macho characters I stand for like Homer Simpson, Rambo, Braddock and others.

The Middle: What would you be able to do for love?

If you are stupid and feminist, it is useless. You will not even want to understand the message of a movie.

Now, if you want to understand the message (or you're morbidly curious to know what I'm going to write), then I'll explain. From the moment Jenny is kidnapped, the film becomes a hero's journey over what we would be able to do for love. To help someone we love.

Our hero goes very far. He lies, he steals, he attacks innocents, kidnaps and kills!

Starting with the son of a bitch who invented to being in front of him and try to blackmail him in his own daughter's room.

"We kidnap your daughter and we'll kill her unless you do what we tell you to do." And you will do it, right? The violent hijacker asks.

- Wrong! -  John Matrix answers with a shot in the kidnapper's head. A true act of love ...

Laughing aside, we have an obligation to question what we are seeing in the film!

After all, it is part of the question of how far we would go to save someone. What goes for both the case of someone we love being kidnapped and 'simpler' things like what we would do to get someone off drugs and alcoholism? What would we do if someone needed help for health problems or other problems. It is worth remembering that helping others is a valiant act of human behavior.

But there are limits. For example, our hero kidnaps a girl at the airport to approach a thug. What is wrong! And fuck relativism that preaches that right and wrong are relative, kidnapping is wrong and period!

Despite her protests, she clearly was thrilled with John Matrix after seeing him beat up a gang of armed security guards from a mall and finally joined him after seeing his macho and reactionary way of killing a thug in one of the classic scenes of the movie theater. Where John Matrix holds the thug with his weaker arm on the edge of a cliff!

- Remember when I said I was going to kill you last? Yeah, I lied!

Of course I will not tell the whole movie here. I recommend everyone to watch at least 50 times!

John Matrix's journey to rescue his daughter is thrilling and ended with John Matrix killing no more than 87 thugs! Without a doubt, a wonderful film!

The End of the Journey - The Moral Lesson!

Real macho movies are not about glorifying violence against women and this movie is no exception. So much so that the greatest icons of macho films rarely practice any violence against women. I'm talking about icones like Chuck Norris, Charles Bronson, Clint Eastwood, Stallone, Van Damme and, of course, Arnold Schwarznegger!

Sexist movies show that violence against women and children is committed by criminals, rapists, cowards and other worms. And what real macho heroes behave very differently from criminals. They kick ass thugs, send thick lead on rapists and step on cowards' throats. Not just in the literal sense. But also the fact that they are better people, who know how to respect and guarantee the rights of the people around them.

And this is a cultural aspect that can not be denied!

Real macho movies show macho behavior with which men sympathize and feel close. And the fact that men identify with these films instead of films that glorify violence and disrespect for women tells a lot about real machismo!
